Join resident beekeeper Christine Barnett as she starts up the smoker and evaluates the health of the Center’s newly installed beehive. Explore the inside of the hive as we search for honeybee eggs, larvae, and the ever-elusive queen bee. See if the bees are bringing in pollen and nectar, and how much honey is being stored. Learn about various beekeeping tools and how they are used as Christine tries to avoid stings while working with over 10,000 bees.
